View outside our apartment window – snowing!
Our apartment in Krakow was quite comfortable. Had a separate kitchen area where we drank leaf tea out of my new Polish teapot!
Undercover souvenir market in the Old Town square. The pigeons came in to get dry too!
Another warming meal at restaurant with typical Polish cuisine. We both had veal – Anthony had veal goulash and I had stuffed veal roll with buckwheat groats and side orders of beetroot and spinach – delicious!
We spent a bit of time in the Galleria Krakowia which was close to the main train station – huge shopping centre that seems to stay open quite late every day – they even had an American book store. Anthony found the history of Wroclaw that he had read about and I found a Krakow cookbook
Lunch at another restaurant – typical Polish cuisine – we both started with soup – fish soup and mushroom soup – both delicious – and ended the meal with vodka shot infused with mint!
Warming ourselves up at a little restaurant in the Jewish quarter
Raining at Wawel castle
Another dragon spout at Wawel castle
Raining at Wawel Castle. Just had to walk between souvenir shops!
Arrived in Krakow to rain and this bad weather continued for the time we were there. This did put a damper on our plans and we didn’t do as much walking as we would have liked. However, went on a couple of good tours which we wouldn’t otherwise have done and snow was a bonus!
