Weather cold but largely dry. Anthony resplendent in his new beanie doesn’t feel the cold. The beanie was compliments of another unsuspecting tourist who must have dropped it when making a purchase in the craft shop!
The favourite shop of budget conscious tourists and locals alike – Tescos – on the right

Inside the city of Bratislava gallery. A beautiful gallery with very attendant attendants!

Old town square. Notice how few tourists there are!
Novy Most (new bridge) over the Danube is dominated by the flyer saucer. Apparently you can can go up the tower.

Bratislava castle was being renovated. It is supposed to look like a four poster bed!
Our apartment has a separate lounge room and is most comfortable to date
The outside of our apartment building – uninspiring concrete. This is not someone we know.
Bratislava is very quiet compared to our experience of other Eastern European cities. Most shops, except Tescos, seem to close early on Saturdays. There don’t appear to be too many tours operating either and only one person on the desk at the Tourism office.
Most tourism seems to centre around the Old Town and this is where the bulk of tourists congregate.
