Continuing our journey through Florence’s greatest churches and galleries
* Galleria degli Uffizi – a must see gallery – two long galleries with sculptures and ceiling frescoes and home to many paintings by Botticelli. Great perspectives on the river Arno and other city buildings.
Michelangelo’s holy family
And some of my favourite pieces
* Museo Nazionale del Bargello – the national museum housed in an interesting Norman looking palace. It had a lots of interesting pieces including a porcelain collection, sculptures, paintings and ceiling frescoes and Michaelangelo’s crucifixion.
