* Galleria degli Uffizi – a must see gallery – two long galleries with sculptures and ceiling frescoes and home to many paintings by Botticelli. Great perspectives on the river Arno and other city buildings.

* Museo Nazionale del Bargello – the national museum housed in an interesting Norman looking palace. It had a lots of interesting pieces including a porcelain collection, sculptures, paintings and ceiling frescoes and Michaelangelo’s crucifixion.

* Museo Gallileo – great science and mathematics museum. We enjoyed seeing the globes depicting the known worlds of the 1600s.
